Using ASUS Update Utility you can:
- Save the current BIOS file.
- Download the latest BIOS file from the Internet.
- Update the BIOS from the downloaded update file.
- Update the BIOS straight from the Internet.
- View the BIOS version information.
Note: ASUS Update Utility is developed to work only for ASUS motherboards.
Safe BIOS update rules:
- Always use the latest ASUS Update Utility.
- While BIOS is updating you must not overclock the system/CPU.
- Load “Setup Default” in BIOS menu before BIOS Update.
- On Windows systems ( WinNT4, 2000, XP), administrator rights are required.
- Close all applications running under Windows.
- Disable all Anti-Virus applications.
- After the BIOS update is finished, restart the computer.
- Switch on the PC and load “Setup Default” in BIOS again.
